By the addition of just 1 Slim & Strong Smoothie per day that provides over 30 fruit & vegetable extracts, 10 g/protein, 5g/double sourced fiber, and over 100 million C.F.U. of probiotics, all for just $22.50-$34.50 per month plus shipping & handling, people can transform their health, immune systems and waistlines tremendously through this product and countless lives can be saved or improved.
 
Founder’s Experience
 
My name is David Henderson and I have worked in fitness for 14 years, in personal training for 12 years, in group fitness for 10 years, and over the last 11 years, I have helped hundreds of people in Macon County to lose a total of over 10,000 lbs from my health and fitness programs. I created programs at 15 locations countywide, including the creation of the current Tuskegee University Faculty, Staff and Student Fitness and Recreation Center in 2007, of which my company managed and staffed until 2012. From 2013-2015, I was a City Parks & Recreation Coordinator and I have operated every local youth sports league offered by the City, in addition to also refereeing every sport offered in the city. I am currently pursuing a certification in diet planning and have recently added a health store to the operations at my fitness center, Time For A Change Fitness. www.tfacgym.webs.com

Slim & Strong Smoothie Mix
 
Product market - Smoothies have been growing extremely popular worldwide, especially over the last decade, as many fresh smoothie chains have arisen, however Slimfast and Carnation are the primary smoothie mixes that are sold in stores with little competition.
 
Comparison to competition – The problems with fresh fruit and vegetables smoothies are the high sugar content of the fruit and the high cost overall, as well as the fact that they must be made fresh and consumed quickly. Many powdered smoothie mixes are offered online, but I have not found one that offers fruit, vegetables, protein, and fiber at an affordable price to the average income level.
 
Our competitive advantage - Powder based smoothies contain the same powerful nutrients, but with much less sugar content, and much more convenience, as you can take them to go and then add water anytime to make a smoothie when and wherever you want by simply adding water or another beverage. Our name, “Slim & Strong” is unique and more catchy, and our product is not milk based like Slimfast and Carnation, does not contain aspartame, and is cross promoted through American Health & Fitness Network, a growing national network of health and fitness professionals.
 
Current product manufacturing – This product is made by bulk purchasing the contents (fruit powder, vegetable powder, protein powder, fiber powder, natural flavoring packets, Stevia for sweetener) and mixing them by hand, made at an average of 1 per minute or 50-60 per hour. Human labor is initially cheaper than a factory, and we will continue this practice until we are poised to afford factory automated production.  Currently, bags are traditional plastic bags with our labels and logo on them, distributed independently via postal mail and by wholesale partnerships with stores and health or beauty based businesses, such as Time For A Change Fitness in Tuskegee, AL, which serves as our national headquarters.
 
Marketing
  • Online marketing is done through American Health & Fitness Network  www.americanhealthfit.com & social media. Our Facebook page is www.facebook.com/slimstrongsmoothies and other social media platforms are under development.
  • TV, radio & print marketing will be selectively done, with the focus on driving traffic to our website and social media accounts, where we can maintain contact with prospective customers.
  • Direct marketing is done by phone, email, text message, and direct messaging to current and former customers and online contacts from Time For A Change Fitness, American Health & Fitness Network, Tuskegee Uhaul, and all personal contacts of David and Chiquita Henderson.
  • Referral based marketing is offered to all of the same customers, as they receive 10% off their next order for referring a new customer.
  • A sales rep program will also be established for all health and fitness professionals of American Health & Fitness Network.

Slim & Strong Café and Slim & Strong Smoothie Bar: It is absolutely astonishing that while Americans spend billions of dollars on fitness and weight loss every year, while we also spend billions on fast food, that very few major national chains have effectively combined fast food options for weight loss. This would be our first location for a new national franchise that offers a 100% healthy/no junk/non bread-based/weight loss-based menu, designed to improve health and weight management, partnered with all Slim & Strong products and smoothies, both in preparation and also sold to go. Furthermore, we would have a kiosk where patrons could sign up for a personal trainer, dietician, massage therapist, sports instructor, etc. through American Health & Fitness Network. For the menu, we would offer over 10 salad options and healthy wrap combos, as well as fresh fruit and vegetable dishes, soups, healthy cooked items and dishes, and the Slim & Strong Smoothies would be prepared fresh also. We would also offer catering as well. Furthermore, we would establish partnerships with all major national fitness center chains (Bally’s, Gold’s Planet Fitness, etc) to offer discounts to their members. We would also franchise ourselves inside of all fitness centers as either a Smoothie Bar or Café, depending on setup availability, similar to what McDonald’s and Walmart have done. To keep company costs low, most of our stores would be financed by franchise owners.
